Electrify Biking in Maine
Across the U.S. and worldwide, people are discovering the joy, utility, and affordability of e-bikes. Many other rural states, including Vermont and Colorado, have launched successful programs that make e-bikes accessible to residents, helping them drive less, live healthier lifestyles, and reduce emissions.

Our Four Point Plan
Vouchers, rebates, subsidies or incentives for the purchase of e-bikes in Maine, provided by The Maine Department of Transportation or Efficiency Maine Trust. These programs should be available to all but include a targeted program dedicated to low-income financial aid to cover the cost of e-bike purchase.
Free e-bike consultations for Maine residents, businesses and organizations. Experience in other states has shown that people are excited to learn more about e-bikes but don’t know where to start. Providing free e-bike consultations for residents through GoMaine or another state program will help reduce this barrier.
Launch demonstration "try a ride" loaner e-bike fleets around the state consisting of e-bikes, e-cargo bikes, and other micro-mobility options available at public libraries, non-profits, municipal buildings, or any other centrally-located facility.
Go Maine E-bike program featuring educational tools and resources about e-bikes, e-cargo bikes and other micro-mobility options. It should include profiles of diversity Maine riders and how they use their bikes and a list of shops selling e-bikes as well info related to rebates, subsidies, free bike consultations, and other programs and resources.
